ABOUT
Cascaders boast an energetic, dreamy sound, with a mix of swirling, misty guitars and synthesisers. The backbone of their music is a vibrant drum beat and a solid bass line that compliments the other-worldly vocal layers and thought-provoking lyrics brilliantly. As their name suggests, their music sounds like the crashing of a dream-pop wave on the waiting shore. The shore being the eager ears of the audience.
The band was formed in Liverpool, England, after longtime friends Dom Thornton (vocals) and Gabe Stockley (guitar) started writing their early music. Dom and Gabe had known each other since the start of primary school and started collaborating from an early age. In secondary school the duo then recruited their friends Josh Harvey (bass) and Jude Hatton-Holland (drums). After a short spell of doing small gigs they asked a friend of Josh’s, Joe Tilling (synthesiser) to join. They thought the synthesiser would add another layer to their unique song writing. After this addition the band started to develop their sound and do bigger and better gigs. Since then, they have played with bands such as: SPINN, SOAK, Monks, The Peach Fuzz, Giant Rooks and more.
